Do Yo Thing

Live Life.  Live however you want.  Learn things.  Believe in those things.  Change and start all over again.  I’ve heard since I was a little kid how short life is; how quickly it goes by.  I don’t think that’s the case at all.  I think life is quite long when you start doing the things you want to do.  I can fill a day with a hundred activities or simply sit and do nothing.  It’s my choice.

I’m starting a journey on bike today; heading across country to share positive things that people are doing for themselves and their community.  There’s a lot of depressing news out there of things going wrong and I want to highlight the things that are going right.  It’s not all doom and gloom people.  There are billions of cool humans doing cool things, and living life their way.  Something we all should be doing.

If you feel like you are doing things in life because you have to and not because you want to, just stop.  The world won’t come crashing down.  We should be aware of what we do and why.  If we don’t enjoy the things we are doing; if we don’t believe in the things we are doing, we should be asking ourselves why we are doing them.  Life is about experiences; so make them ones you want to have.

I believe my only job here is to take care of my health and be kind to others around me- all others, including nature because obviously we are part of that whole scheme.  People take care of me, I take care of them.  Nature takes care of me, I take care of her.

We all need reminders that we are masters of our own universe and have more power over our lives than we tend to think.  It’s important to share these reminders, so that’s what I’m going to do- in my way.  So you can do whatever you want in your way.  And we can all be different, and awesome, conscious beings who share the same planet and have as much balance and diversity as nature does.

I am continuously surprised by the generosity, kindness, and general loveability (yes I said that) of the people I meet all around the world.  People are doing great things, taking care of themselves, nature, and their communities and I hope to share more information on these awesome people and maybe inspire more community connection, more communication, and more awesomeness.

So have fun doing whatever it is you do today and in the words of mi amigo Oscar Wilde, “Be yourself.  Everyone else is already taken.”.
